Jeddah: In a historic moment for the Middle East’s commercial aviation sector, Saudi Arabia’s national flag carrier, Saudia, has officially taken delivery of its very first Airbus A321XLR aircraft, becoming the first operator in the Middle East and Africa to deploy this state-of-the-art, extra-long-range single-aisle jet. Powered by highly efficient CFM International LEAP-1A engines, this cutting-edge aircraft represents the first installment of a broader 15-aircraft order designed to fundamentally modernize the kingdom’s commercial fleet. The airline has configured the interior to feature a premium, low-density layout, offering 24 fully flat Business Class seats with direct aisle access alongside 120 high-comfort Economy Class seats, ensuring an elite passenger experience within the quietest cabin class in its category.
