UAE and GCC Reaffirm Full Solidarity with Kuwait Following Interception of Air Threats

The United Arab Emirates and the Secretariat General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) issued strong declarations of full solidarity with Kuwait following the interception and destruction of multiple hostile drones entering Kuwaiti airspace. Kuwait’s Ministry of Defence confirmed that military air defense systems successfully neutralized the airborne targets over vital installations, preventing human casualties while managing minor material debris. In an official statement released by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the UAE strongly condemned the unprovoked aerial incursions, framing them as a flagrant violation of Kuwait’s national sovereignty and a direct threat to the broader stability of the Arabian Gulf. GCC Secretary-General Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi similarly denounced the attacks, emphasizing that the six-nation bloc remains fully committed to collective defense principles and will support all security measures undertaken by Kuwait to protect its territory, citizens, and critical infrastructure. The escalation comes amid heightened security vigilance across the region, prompting GCC member states to deepen coordination through shared radar networks, early-warning threat detection systems, and diplomatic channels. High-ranking Gulf diplomats highlighted that safeguarding energy facilities and air transport hubs remains a non-negotiable priority for maintaining steady global markets and civil safety. The swift, unified response from the UAE and GCC partners underscores the region’s shared defense mechanisms and joint commitment to deterring external security threats aimed at disrupting Gulf commerce and regional stability.
