Vietnam’s coffee exports have dropped by 14.3% in the January-November 2024 period, amounting to 1.2 million metric tons, according to data released by the General Statistics Office. Despite the decline in export volume, coffee export revenue surged by 35.4%, reaching $4.9 billion during the same period.
In November 2024, Vietnam’s coffee exports stood at 60,000 tons, reflecting a 49.1% decrease compared to November 2023. This sharp drop in monthly exports comes amid tight supply in the coffee trading market in Vietnam.
As the world’s second-largest coffee exporter, Vietnam’s coffee industry is crucial to the global coffee trade. The country’s coffee sector faces challenges including supply constraints, which could continue to affect its export performance.
