In Delhi and Mumbai, the price of 10 grammes of 24-carat gold is the same as in Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Kolkata, with the precious metal retailing for Rs 50,780 in these cities.
The price of 10 grammes of 22-carat gold in Delhi and Mumbai is comparable to the price of 10 grammes of 22-carat gold in Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Kolkata, where the metal sells for Rs 46,550.
However, at Rs 51,940 and Rs 47,640, respectively, the price of 10 grammes of 24-carat gold and 22-carat gold in Chennai is more than in other cities.
The price of gold varies by region, depending on factors such as excise duty, making costs, and state taxes.
One kilogramme of silver costs Rs 61,5500 in Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Bengaluru, and Hyderabad. The metal is currently trading at Rs 65,600 in Chennai.
